IT IS A POSITION ISSUE
DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: 1 Kings 16 – 17, 2 Chronicles 16 – 17
1 Kings 17:6-7 (KJV):“And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.”
Every positioning by God comes with its own provisions.
When God instructs you to occupy a particular place, whether geographically, in ministry, in your career, or in any other area of life, He attaches specific provision to that position.
Elijah’s obedience positioned him by the brook Cherith, and there, provision was supernatural. Ravens fed him and he drank from the brook. But, like our theme scripture reveals, the brook eventually dried up. The season had shifted.
Elijah’s change in circumstances is still faced by believers today. The problem arises when one fails to discern the shift.
One way to identify these changes is if you feel constantly frustrated in the place where you are. When what once flowed effortlessly now feels strained, you may be tempted to blame external factors: your boss, the organization, the economy, your family, or other people around you. But sometimes, it is not what you are pointing at as the problem. It is a position issue. Some frustrations are signals of misalignment. You may not be where you are supposed to be, and therefore the provision assigned to your correct positioning is not accessible.
To stay aligned to the position and direction of God, ask yourself whether there is still peace and divine enablement in your current place. Grace is often a strong indicator of alignment.
Remember that not every challenge means relocation. Seek spiritual counsel and confirmation before making major decisions that alter your position.

🙌PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for ordering my steps. You grant me discernment to recognize the seasons of my life. If I am misaligned in any way, show me clearly and give me the courage to obey. I am yielded to Your instruction and direction. Where you lead, I follow. Where you ask me to stand, I stay still. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
