THE WISDOM OF TRANSITION: GIVING
DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 11 – 12, 2 Chronicles 10 – 11
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV): “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
When you outgrow a realm, whether it is a job, a ministry role, a business position, or a season of life, there are principles that define how you should transition.
Seasons change, but how you exit one realm often determines how you will function in the next.
A core principle of transition is found in the way you give. This isn’t merely about finances; it is about the posture of your heart. When you give of your wisdom, your time, and your grace during a transition, you are not just leaving a legacy, you are clearing the path for your own future. True stewardship isn’t found in your bank account; it’s found in how you pour into others even as you prepare to walk away.
When the Lord reveals to you about transitioning to a new institution, instead of an abrupt exit, sow a seed of intentionality by training your successor. Ensure continuity because the way you leave matters.
There is wisdom in honoring what you leave behind. When you exit through the doors of resentment, negligence, or pride, you create a spiritual breach that can frustrate your progress in the next assignment. Before God takes you higher, He observes how you release what is behind you.
Hallelujah!

🙌PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for this word. I know that You are elevating me. Your wisdom is actively at work in me, revealing to me how to prepare for the next level. Indifference and self-seeking are far from me. I do not burn bridges. I honour the place in which I am currently positioned and exit with grace and as a blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
