A LIFE ABOVE STRIFE
DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 22, Psalm 18
Psalm 18:43 (KJV): “Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.”
Sometimes in life, people will fight you, look down on you, or try to stop what God is doing through you. They argue with you, compete with you, or treat you like you’re just an ordinary person.
This is what King David went through. People around him fought and opposed him. But then something changed. David says, “God delivered me from the strivings of the people.” In other words, God took him out of the fight. He did this by lifting him above his opponents.
David goes on to say, “You made me the head of the heathen.” That’s divine promotion. You move from striving to ruling. The same people who used to strive with him were not on his level anymore because God elevated him.
That’s what the Lord wants to do for you. You don’t have to strive. You don’t have to fight to prove yourself, argue to be understood, or compete to be seen. When God lifts you, He puts you in a place where the fight no longer touches you.
So, let go of the need to justify yourself. Don’t get trapped in petty arguments, jealousy, or competition. God is lifting you above the noise.

⭐HIGHLIGHT: You don’t have to strive. You don’t have to fight to prove yourself, argue to be understood, or compete to be seen. When God lifts you, He puts you in a place where the fight no longer touches you.
🙌PRAYER: Father, thank You for this word. I don’t need to fight to be seen or struggle to be understood. You have made me the head and not the tail. I live life above strife and competition. I rest in Your promotion and stay above the noise. Daily, I choose peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
