UNDERSTANDING THE MANDATE I
DAILY DEVOTION
Todays Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 15 – 17
1 Samuel 16:13-15 (KJV): Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up and went to Ramah. But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
It is one thing to have an office, it is another to be mandated in that office.
For example, you may have a prophetic or apostolic office yet not have an apostolic or prophetic mandate or assignment.
Both the office and mandate are forms of anointing yet God has not called you to have one exclusive of the other.
God anointed David and gave him a mandate as the King of Israel while Saul was still in the office of the King. Saul continued to rule but the mandate had been taken from him.
Today, some people are in offices whose mandates have been reassigned.
It is indifference to lose a mandate and never know it but assume all is well because one is still in the office.
To complete your course, you need both the mandate and the office.
If all you have is a mandate, understand the principles that establish you in the office. If all you have is an office, study and follow the patterns that attract the mandate.
Hallelujah!

🙌PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. It is a privilege to be called by You. Thank You for showing me the patterns that launch men into the realms of the chosen. I am equipped with both the mandate and office and as such, run my race with diligence, bringing glory to Your name, Amen.
