THE WISDOM THAT OPENS WOMBS
DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 1 – 4
1 Samuel 1:4-5 (KJV): And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions: But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the Lord had shut up her womb.
Our theme scripture reveals that God had shut Hannah’s womb. It was not simply about denying her a child; God wanted her to gain a deeper understanding. Once Hannah attained this understanding, He was ready to use her as the mother of the great prophet Samuel.
In 1 Samuel 1:11, the Bible says:
“And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.”
Hannah did not merely ask for a child; she was specific. She asked for a man-child, one she vowed to dedicate to the Lord for service all the days of his life.
It was this kind of prayer, grounded in revelation, that opened Hannah’s womb.
From this, we learn that some wombs remain shut because they lack a revelation of what they are meant to carry. When such wombs conceive without this revelation, they may raise as ordinary what God prepared for them and anointed greatly.
This principle does not only apply to physical wombs but also to other aspects of life, such as businesses, ministries, or careers. The “womb” of your business or ministry may be shut because you have not sought God’s full revelation of what He intends for you to birth.
You may see it as just an idea, but to God, it might be His vision to transform the financial systems of nations or revolutionize the social fabric of communities.
Don’t just ask God for a ‘child.’ Instead, ask Him to reveal the kind of child He wants you to carry so that you can raise it in a way that fulfills His perfect plan. Hallelujah!

Thank You for revealing Your full counsel concerning my dreams. May I never embark on any journey with incomplete knowledge but always walk in the clarity of what You intend to do through me.
