DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: Joshua 20 – 21
Joshua 1:8 [KJV]; This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
You will never taste the fruits of great success until you learn how to meditate.
The importance of meditation can never be overstated, child of God.
The Bible is full of the lives of men that lived after this pattern and how they succeeded and accessed greater places in the spirit because of it.
In Genesis 24:63, the Bible gives the example of Isaac meditating in the field. In Joshua 1:8, the instruction is to meditate on the word day and night. In Acts 10:19, the Bible speaks of how Peter meditated on a vision he had received from God.
Why is meditation on the Word so important to spiritual growth?
The law of manifestation is subject to the law of creation, and meditation is the wisdom to create. Meditation gives you the liberty to walk to the end of your vision and determine how to bring it to manifestation.
Don’t merely read the Word. Take time to think and ponder on it. By meditation, we participate in the realities of the scriptures we read because we do not see them merely as stories but we step into time and live those stories along with the great men and women of the Bible. By meditation we own truth at a personal level and make it one with the very fabric of our lives.
