KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: NOT A GAME OF CHANCE
DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: Proverbs 14 – 16
Proverbs 13:11 (NLT): Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.
There’s a dangerous illusion creeping into the hearts of many believers—the belief that money can be gained through chance rather than diligence. Lotteries, betting, and gambling have become the modern temptation, promising instant riches without effort. But Scripture warns us: this is not how God’s financial system works.
God’s design for provision is rooted in among other things, work, wisdom and stewardship. The system of betting is the opposite: it plays on greed, luck, and risk.
Gambling is not just a financial trap—it’s a spiritual one. It trains your heart to depend on chance rather than God. It fosters impatience and bypasses the process of building character through stewardship. And while the world may normalize it, heaven never endorses it.
How many Christians today are unknowingly outside God’s covenant of provision because they’re trying to gain through a system God never authored?
When Jesus taught about money, He spoke in parables of servants investing wisely, working diligently, and managing faithfully (Matthew 25:14–30). Never once did He teach about luck or random fortune.
If you’re depending on the lottery and betting to change your life, it’s time to ask yourself—what system are you really trusting? God doesn’t want you living by chance. He wants you living by faith, discipline, and obedience. Hallelujah!

🙌PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I choose to put my trust in You, not luck or chance. You are faithful and I have proved it over and over again. I walk in the wisdom of Your Word concerning finances. As I do so, I steward, and grow wealth in a way that honors You. You are forever my source. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
