WHEN THERE IS A CASTING DOWN
DAILY DEVOTION
Today’s Bible Reading: Job 22 – 25
WHEN THERE IS A CASTING DOWN
Job 22:29 (KJV): When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
Amid the greatest economic crises, when the world is in turmoil, there lies an incredible opportunity for the believer. This is a divine principle that transcends circumstances—when there is a casting down, there is a lifting up.
It is easy to become overwhelmed by the noise of the world, to get caught up in the despair and fear that seems to grip everyone during times of financial instability. However, as believers, we are called to respond differently.
Tapping into this lifting up requires more than just knowing the principle; it takes a spirit of humility.
The Bible says, “God exalts the humble” (James 4:10). Humility is a key that unlocks the doors of divine elevation. It takes humility to plug into the lifting when all around you, there is a casting down.
It takes humility to trust in God’s provision when everything around us seems uncertain. And it takes humility to declare the lifting up that comes from God’s hand, rather than relying on human solutions.
In times of economic or personal difficulty, you are not called to moan and groan with the world. As you humble yourself before Him, He will lift you up, providing opportunities where others see only despair. Hallelujah!

🙌PRAYER: My Lord, thank You for this truth. You are true and I have proved this over and over again. You humble me daily and keep me trusting in Your provision even when the world seems to be in chaos. I stand firm in humility and faith, knowing that thousands can fall by my side but You will never allow waste and destruction to be my portion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
