OF EXCELLENCE
Genesis 39:23 NKJV The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.
If a man desires mastery, he must understand the laws that govern mastery.
One such law is the law of excellence.
Excellence expresses itself in various ways but one of the unique ways in which it finds expression is in the small things of day to day life.
In the Song of Solomon 2:15, the Bible tells us that it is the little foxes that spoil the vine.
Small things matter. They make the difference. In our theme Scripture, Joseph was in prison. Still, he did excellently what little was entrusted to him. This faithfulness elevated him to more responsibility for a nation.
Do you keep time? An excellent spirit does not show up at 6 o’clock for a 5 o’clock meeting. A wise man once said that you would rather be an hour early than a minute late.
How do you present yourself before great men or among other people? An excellent spirit does not meet great men with dirty shoes, unkempt hair, caring little for his appearance. When Joseph was to stand before Pharaoh, the Bible says he shaved and changed his clothes (Genesis 41:14).
Do you take care of property entrusted to you? An excellent spirit manning a camera, microphone or a speaker will care to clean it and ensure that it is always well taken care of.
Do you keep your word, firstly to yourself and to others? An excellent spirit knows that his word is his bond.
Value even the smallest things in the daily give and take of life because they can set the spiritual world on course for you or against you.
Hallelujah!

🙌PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You because I am an excellent spirit. I take nothing for granted because I know the power of the small things in life.
